The public other-half of Do As Infinity, Ryo rocks the acoustic and electric guitar for Do As Infinity. Ryo's personal musical style tends to be more punk-rock, as opposed to Tomiko's jazz-rock style, creating a unique fusion.

He also occasionally provides backup vocals. In interviews, he demonstrates a light-hearted sense of humor and a good understanding of his bandmate's personality. Prior to DAI, he had a band named Peek-Ka-Boo. During the band's break, he formed the band Missile Innovation, with twin members of his former band.
